Finding your Life’s Purpose

I use to find the question – what do I want, to be the hardest question to answer. My mind would instantly think of all the things that I didn’t want. Usually things that were in my life, or that had been in my life, stuff that just wasn’t working would keep popping up. And, I came to realize that was pretty typical for most of us.  Focusing however on what we don’t want, just brings us more of what we don’t want.  So instead, I ask myself, who do I want to be… What does my life look like… and then, What are my daily habits of this life, that make me this person.  When I ask these questions, it becomes clear of what I needed to do, to live my life purposefully.

So, – who do you want to be? What does your life look like being this person?   And, what actions do you take everyday, living your life as this person?

Now, go do it! Take action! Live it!

Live in the Moment – Love

“We must each lead a way of life with self-awareness
and compassion, to do as much as we can. Then,
whatever happens we will have no regrets.”
—His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama

Like sands that move in the hour glass, so is our life constantly moving, from our past and into our future. The narrow channel path in the middle of the hourglass, is our moment to act in the present. To be within ourselves – self aware. To speak our truths – to feel and live in the present. That moment – is all we really have; living fully present, acting fully present. Consiously making choices that benefit the greater good. Living in the moment with love and compassion, first toward ourselves, and then in every action of that moment; with a task, or contact with another person – Love, Love, Love – I guarantee you will have no regrets.

Intention, and Conscious Choice

Every choice I make i face a consequence, so imagine what I can do with conscious choice. www.goldilocksblog.com

As I enter my third week of conscious eating, inspired by my 21 year old stepdaughter, I had an epiphany. It’s what we all really know,… but somehow this week it hit me deeply, and really resonated with me. My intention is for this message is that I hope that it helps you too!

With every choice no matter how big or small we face a consequence for that action. But, If we couple that choice, with our most important choice of what our intention is, then the choices and decisions become much easier. With my intention of being healthy, the conscious choice to pick whole natural foods, and to continue with my practice of yoga, is easy. Why would I want to choose to consume anything other then whats healthy for my body, when my intention is to be healthy. The intention of living a happy life, will keep only happy, positive healthy people around you. If you apply this to your relationships, your job, or your life as a whole, changes will become easier.  You begin living, the life that you want to live.
