New Moon Monday

New Moon Monday

So on Monday’s I’ve been going to this cute little tea room to write my blog. I like it here, it feels comfortable, and I’m consciously surrounding myself with people who inspire me, and I feel inspired by the people here that I’m continually getting to know. Today I was having trouble writing my blog. My thoughts were scattered, and I was having trouble writing clear paragraphs. A friend came over and began talking to me, as she was looking at her phone, and said oh it’s New Moon Monday.  I wasn’t even aware that the new moon began today.

But I do know that the New Moon is a great time to plant seeds for transformation. And, this particular new moon is great for grounding, which my writing would be better and smoother if I was more grounded at the moment. So I think if we take a moment here we can all benefit from this new beginning. One of the best ways to take advantage of the new moon is to set an intention for the cycle.

Everything begins with an intention. Like writing this blog. I would not write a blog if I didn’t have an intention to do so at some time.  So Set an intention or sankulpa, – your positive statement, and set it in the present tense, as it’s effects are intensified during this time and we want the best outcome. The new moon, is like new beginnings like the darkness that we feel in some or all areas of our life, and our actions and intention expands as new moons light expands gradually becoming the brilliantly bright full moon, as we become the brilliantly bright improve being.

Here are a few examples of intentions set in the present tense.  Use one of these or create one that truly resonates with you. It can be as long or as short as you would like, then begin to feel your life transform. Noting however that its best that these intentions reflect what we truly value and whats authentic to us. Like today mine may or should be.

I am a great writer, I speak my truth, and leave a positive imprint on the world, or, Regardless of how great or poor of a writer that I am, I speak my truth, and leave a positive imprint on the world.

For you –

I live a life of value.

I flow though life with ease and grace.

I authentically live with a knowing of my inner truth.

I live in peace in mind and body.

I am happy.

I am whole.

Once you create your statement. Sit with it for a moment or two. Breathe it in. Breathe it out. Allow it to become a part of you. Allow it to permeate every cell in your body.

Then as the days go and the moon light grows, feel and believe this statement is more and more true. Detach from the outcome, release and let go. Let me know if it works for you!

Drink What You Pour

One day during my yoga teacher training, I asked my teacher: how do you stay up and keep your own energy, when everyone seems to want something from you. He looked at me and said, drink what you pour.  I walked away in silence, and thought, of course…LOL, we know what to do, it’s everything we tell others.  Believe and live what your saying. That’s what I’ve been doing with this blog, reminding myself and others of all that’s important, and yet, I still needed to be reminded, so I thought may be you did too. 🙂

Found but Lost

It once was found, but now is lost

But, lost by someone else you see

For in the finding you may lose something else

Its all a gift you see

-Goldilocks Blog

We never really own anything. Sometimes we have things for a moment, sometimes we keep things for a lifetime, but that’s limited too isn’t it. It’s all fluid. Whatever we have at this moment with objects, people in our lives, jobs, activities, etc. It’s a gift, and here for enjoyment now. Our never ever ending eternity of now.

Last summer we traveled to visit my step daughter as she opened up her new photography studio. While visiting, my stepson found Ray Ban sun glasses. They had scratches on one lens, but we had them repaired and my husband enjoyed them until ironically our step daughters next visit here, when they were lost, for someone else to find and enjoy.

When you own a home and land and you move, change jobs, or end a relationship, slowly acquaintances from those association become more and more distant, and new people in your life emerge. You miss and want you’re old friends, and property, but you also welcome the addition of the new.

You get older, your children grow up, your parents need you more, and everything changes, all of our bodies, minds, interest, and surrounding.

We’re continually changing, adapting, and this flow that’s continually going is always bringing, and always taking.

Life goes on, and so shall we. Let’s enjoy our gifts of today, and whatever comes our way.
