Life and Youth Baseball

I didn’t realize how much youth baseball was a rehearsal for adult life.  Its not always fair… The calls don’t always go your way. Some people cheat. Some – even though its legal – steal. Sometimes people on your team, those who you can always count on, mess up. Some players get down, frustrated about things they can’t control – like whether it’s their error, a team members error, or one of those bad calls; and while their head is occupied with those thoughts, it messes up what they can control.

Sometimes the game is taken way too serious.

Most of the time a player will play to your expectations.

Like youth baseball, in our adult lives, if you break down every time things don’t go our way, you risk becoming stuck on the “its not fair” mantra and forget to keep on living.  Control what you can and keep doing better, keep on trying, keep on showing up for yourself, for your team/family, for those around you, and hope that they do the same. Life on the team will be so much more enjoyable and I guarantee that you would have more success, if you just let it go – let it be – forget about it, and do your best. Smile and keep playing the game – have fun – enjoy the moment your in. Not the moment that has passed, or the moment that’s to come – enjoy the moment you have now.

Shut The Front Door

Fill your home, mind, body with all things that are good. Keep your focus on the possibilities. You become what you believe, so believe that you’re relaxed, you have total peace; because you are great, beautiful, wonderful, and all things work out for you. You are perfect, you are unique, you are you.
Decide everything is all right. It is what it should be. Say – I am happy. Today is a great day and tomorrow, and every day after, will be even better. Something good always happens for me.
See all the beautiful people and beautiful natural places around you. At every moment look for the extraordinary. The ever changing sky, the uniqueness of each trees, and the vibrant colors of flowers.  There is much to appreciate.
Shut the front door.  Be the best at being you, and live, so that you will live a life full of meaning. See how you make a difference. Open the door, to live your “just right” life now.

A New Day

A new day…a new moment, a new choice.  What’s it going to be. What move will you make next.  What seed will you plant. What will you feed the seed, the idea, that will grow into your future. Will you plant it in the most healthiest natural fertile soil, and feed it clean pure water. Will you nurture the seed, pull the weeds, and care for it to help it grow. Do you see the seed growing taller, becoming into what you’ve invisioned.

Every endeavor starts with a thought, an idea, a beginning. As the idea grows, and a few weeds pop – up we have to regroup, adapt, rethink, but continue to grow, or replant, nurture, take rest, or whatever is needed for the long goal, the ultimate destination – your perfect life.

So what does that life look like, and what choices will you make on this new day, to start living that life now.
