New Moon Monday

New Moon Monday

So on Monday’s I’ve been going to this cute little tea room to write my blog. I like it here, it feels comfortable, and I’m consciously surrounding myself with people who inspire me, and I feel inspired by the people here that I’m continually getting to know. Today I was having trouble writing my blog. My thoughts were scattered, and I was having trouble writing clear paragraphs. A friend came over and began talking to me, as she was looking at her phone, and said oh it’s New Moon Monday.  I wasn’t even aware that the new moon began today.

But I do know that the New Moon is a great time to plant seeds for transformation. And, this particular new moon is great for grounding, which my writing would be better and smoother if I was more grounded at the moment. So I think if we take a moment here we can all benefit from this new beginning. One of the best ways to take advantage of the new moon is to set an intention for the cycle.

Everything begins with an intention. Like writing this blog. I would not write a blog if I didn’t have an intention to do so at some time.  So Set an intention or sankulpa, – your positive statement, and set it in the present tense, as it’s effects are intensified during this time and we want the best outcome. The new moon, is like new beginnings like the darkness that we feel in some or all areas of our life, and our actions and intention expands as new moons light expands gradually becoming the brilliantly bright full moon, as we become the brilliantly bright improve being.

Here are a few examples of intentions set in the present tense.  Use one of these or create one that truly resonates with you. It can be as long or as short as you would like, then begin to feel your life transform. Noting however that its best that these intentions reflect what we truly value and whats authentic to us. Like today mine may or should be.

I am a great writer, I speak my truth, and leave a positive imprint on the world, or, Regardless of how great or poor of a writer that I am, I speak my truth, and leave a positive imprint on the world.

For you –

I live a life of value.

I flow though life with ease and grace.

I authentically live with a knowing of my inner truth.

I live in peace in mind and body.

I am happy.

I am whole.

Once you create your statement. Sit with it for a moment or two. Breathe it in. Breathe it out. Allow it to become a part of you. Allow it to permeate every cell in your body.

Then as the days go and the moon light grows, feel and believe this statement is more and more true. Detach from the outcome, release and let go. Let me know if it works for you!

Success – It’s so easy – All you have to do is Show Up!

Show up for success.

Step One – Show up and actually make it to the physical place of where you need to go, to do whatever it is that you want to accomplish. First, You have to start with where you are.

Step Two  – Show up and arrive fully aware and mentally present. Showing up thinking about your date last night or lack of a date last night is not going to yield you good results, and actually doesn’t serve you in any way. So show up and be present with what you’re doing now in the present moment, do it mindfully, with the best of your ability, do it consistently, but above all…

Step Three – Do It!  It doesn’t have to be great. Don’t over analyze to the point where you never actually complete the task.  Just do it, with mindfulness, to the best of your ability.

My intention with my AzulYoga website is to inspire, uplift and to bring more peace into this world in whatever way I can. Which I guess is also the the intention for my GoldilocksBlog 😉 which is why I guess I overlap 😉 … And because of this, every morning rain or shine I wake up before sunrise and then head to the beach to meditate. And, as I sit in my meditative state, with sand between my toes, I begin to feel the morning suns ray’s warm my face as it begins to rise.  I  pause for a moment or two, really taking it all in, while feeling and sensing my surroundings. Enjoying the moment with gratitude, that this is how I get to start my day. I then reach for my camera and snap a picture of the beautiful sunrise, and shoot it out to many different social media sites, along with a phrase or thought, of what I hope to be inspiring to anyone who reads and or sees my photo.  And, it struck me as to how easy it is to succeed in inspiring others in this endeavor, by just showing up and being present.

A beautiful and unique sunrise greets me every morning, and after I sit in silence a inspiring thought comes my way.  So I simply take the photo with my iphone, and just by showing up I get an awesome photo and inspiring words to post. (I’ll post a few of my favorites here for you to see, but for daily inspiration you can subscribe to my AzulYoga.com website or follow me on Instagram, Goldilocks Blog Twitter, Azul Yoga Twitter,  or Azul Yoga Facebook

, Goldilocks Blog Facebook) , and if nothing else…by showing up, I’m at least inspire myself, and maybe for now – that’s enough.  So what can you do to “show up” and to at least inspire – you.

Darkest Before The Dawn

It’s darkest before the dawn, and It’s light before the darkness of the night. Our inhale comes before our exhale. Our exhale comes before our inhale. We live in the ebb and flow of life, continually repeating. And yet, when it comes to tough times, we tend to forget about the natural flow of life. If we remembered, we would always live in a state of non attachment to the darkness, with a knowing that times will get better. And just as the darkest time of the day is just before dawn. Sometimes before everything gets really good everything can get really really bad. This is however just a natural rhythm of life.

So – hang tough.

Ride it out.

Have faith.

Your good is coming.

And as always, With love!
