Own Your Life

Don’t worry about “who” said what, “who” is doing what, or what “who” did to you. Live your life – Own it! Claim it! Control it!  Who you are when you walk into a room, who you are while you’re there, and who you are when you leave, is all owned by you. You living your life – your way. Don’t be affected by the drama of others, or any other negative influences. If you let yourself be drawn into someone else’s drama, then you’re in the drama too. Leave it where it is – not attached to you.

Focus the only thing that you can control – you, and remember that your physical and mental health are affected by everything you put in your body. So not only eat healthy, but fill your mind and thoughts with positive sights and sounds. Do your best to read, hear, and see positive, happy and joyful things. Own your life, and do your best for you!

Get Out Of Your Head

Do you ever notice that the stress that we have, comes from inside our heads. We’re constantly thinking about what happened yesterday and what could happen in the future.  The thoughts are often worse than what actually occurs.  Often no thoughts are to what doors the event/s may open, and how great things can become.  It also made me think of how being in our heads, can also be like we are living mindlessly.  I know that’s a contradiction.  But, think about those times when your driving your car to work. It’s the same route you always take.  It’s become so routine, that when you arrive, you realize that you really don’t know how you’ve got there.  We’ve stayed in our heads without realizing the journey.
Do you remember a time where you’ve gone on vacation to somewhere you’ve never been, you’re relaxed, you’re looking around, you’re totally in that place and space. You see the people around you noticing the differences from your culture and theirs. You noticing the dress,The language, the smell, and taste of their food. It’s not routine, and you’re totally present.  It’s the same as when you’re with a small child and see life through there eyes. They are looking around and pointing things out. Things that you’ve seen a million times, but haven’t stopped in awhile to notice.  It’s then when you do, that you are fully living in the present. You’re more relaxed, and are living life as it is, not what it was, or what may be.  Relax and enjoy what you have right now, in this moment.
Don’t miss out on your life today!
Take your shoes off and feel the grass under your feet!  Walk in the rain and enjoy the sensation, or feel the heat of the sun on your skin! Break the routine, get out of your head, and mix things up!  Live Now, and really stop and smell the roses.

Thoughts of Love, Peace, and Being Unique

When we are born, we are not given choices of traits.  There is no one asking us what specific Nationality, Race, or Religion that we would like to be.  No choices of being tall, short, or of having a rich family. No choices of whether we want to be artistic, athletic, intuitive, analytical or any number of other characteristics. Yet we treat ourselves and each other as if we did.  We are all unique and we should love ourselves and each other for that reason alone.  There are many things the world would not have if everyone was like me,… which is a relief, that in our differences, we don’t have to be everything.

Sometimes people treat others as if they had a choice. Sometimes we dwell on why our life is harder, because of the choices we didn’t have. And, sometimes we forget that we have choices now. We can choose love,   peace, compassion, and understanding.  We can’t change whether we are tall or short, as well as many other traits that we are born with,  but we can choose to use the traits that we have, and make the best of it.   Choose to use your unique gifts and create your perfect life.
