Path of Least Resistance

He who lives in harmony with himself lives in harmony with the universe.  Marcus Aurelius

Nature does not hurry yet everything is accomplished. Lao Tzu

Nature always will choose the path of least resistance or effort. In yoga we learn to not muscle tuniversehrough a pose with force, we relax and surrender into the pose finding our energetic strength and softening around it. In life, we sometimes fight what comes easiest with the thought that if it comes easy, it’s not worthy, or not the best choice. That whatever has come your way, doesn’t look exactly the way you wanted it to, so you let it pass by.

Take three long deep breaths here…relax and surrender to the flow of the universe. Allow the universe to work for you. Accept people, and circumstances that come your way.  Let the universe work in your favor. Move towards what you want, but notice the opportunities that come.

Bring Yourself Back

We love the Ocean. We love spending days at the beach; swimming, surfing, fishing, or just relaxing while watching the waves. The waves are constantly in motion. They come in and they go back out, they come in and they go back out, it’s a constant ebb and flow in harmony with nature. It’s effortless and therefore relaxing.  The size of the waves however are affected by winds and storms, just as we’re affected by disturbances from time to time. The waves stir up the sand as it meets the shore. As long as the storm is around the ocean remains in this elevated state of turmoil. If, however, you’d jar up that mixture of sand and ocean and took it away from the disturbance, in the stillness, the sand would settle on the bottom and the water on top would be clear.

You can’t control the storms that come your way. Sometimes you need to step away from the crazy, compose yourself, breathe, and gather your own moment of stillness. You have to bring yourself back to a state of love and peace.

Striving to Be Centered – Living Your Truth

Knowing who you are deep in your core and striving to be centered in our ever changing environment in life, is an on going effort. However not doing so, and living outside your truth, is exhausting without effort. The goal is to be at peace, with a clear mind, a relaxed body, feeling loved and loving, sensing everything around you working in harmony, and ultimately in your favor.

To be centered means to take information in without your experiences, fears and hopes altering whats really going on. Staying strong and centered in yourselves, and not being pushed or pulled by the intent or actions of another. Trust your gut by knowing who you are – your true self.  We all have unique qualities that make us special – work with those qualities. Stay centered in every instance, through all things – breathe, relax in the flow, express love, and  live in peacefulness.
