Too Blessed to Be Stressed

Too blessed to be stressed, a quote stolen from a friend, and a 99 year old patient that comes into her office. How blessed we are in this moment. How many things do we have, that we take for granted. How always in hindsight, everything works out for the best. Opportunities come our way, and the ones that we wish would and don’t,.. finding out they were best left alone.  Troubles, clearing a way, so good can come. Having breath, which gives us life, enabling us to experience all that life offers,… if only we take the time; to notice, to be grateful, to feel how truly blessed we are.

Deserving Soul

The entrance to the door of the sanctuary, is inside of you… Rumi

There are times throughout are life that we may want to run away from our lives. Escaping to some sort of sanctuary, where you’re safe, loved, nurtured, and cherish for the tired soul that you feel, you are. You may be fortunate enough to have the means to take a trip to an exotic location, the ability to visit with someone you love for a time, or where ever it is that you feel would be sanctuary.  The problem is, that it only works for a moment, and not for the long term.

Like Rumi, I’m here to tell you that “The Sanctuary” that you’re looking for, IS inside of you. If you’re not feeling it, then that should be your main goal, to get yourself to that place.  Take care of yourself! Love, Nurture, and Cherish the deserving soul that you are! Do what you feel you need to do to get you to that point. If you need it, go to that other sanctuary, and let some time pass in your healing.  It may have taken you a long time to get where you are.  It may take a while to get to where you need to go. But eventually, and hopefully sooner than later, you will find the peace from within.  Go inward, sit still when you can, meditate or just keep your thoughts positive. Remember everything, no matter how small, that you’re grateful for in your life.  Exercise, move your body, stretch.  Start feeling yourself strong, and healthy, inside and out.

Start at whatever point you can, no matter how small, and take care of yourself!  I can’t think of a more deserving soul than you… 😉

Life on the Highway

We can make the world a better place by observing one simple golden driving rule – SLOWER CARS STAY TO THE RIGHT . Yes I’ve been traveling again and this is Goldi’s public service announcement for those traveling on the highway.  PLEASE all highway drivers need to remember that slower cars need to stay to the right.  If you are in the left lane and someone comes up behind you. Don’t take it personally; don’t slow down to keep that person driving slow, and don’t feel that you are entitled to stay in the left lane driving at whatever speed you want.  Please move to the right.

This time is not just my thought or opinion… I’ve looked into several state dmv sites and all in one form or another say for safe expressway driving, to drive in the right, and pass on the left.

I’ve been in so many traffic jams just due to someone hanging slow in the left lane.  Causing many behind them undue stress.  We all move at different rhythms and have different agendas on different days.  One person may be out for a Sunday drive while another maybe racing to see a dying relative. We don’t know, and it’s not our job to control anything. Just please be kind and if your in the left lane, even if your passing someone and someone comes up behind you, it means they are going faster. Pass the car and then move over to the right. Let the faster car go ahead of you and then you can move back out into the left lane to pass again if needed.  Much of the aggressive driving on the highway comes from the slow driver in the left lane. So please if your in the left lane and not passing someone, make life better and safer for us all, and move to the right.   Life will be so much better.

Please facebook post and retweet this safety reminder.
