Power Of The Soul

To live happily is an inward power of the soul. Very little is needed to make a happy life. It’s all within yourself, in your way of thinking.  When you rise in the morning, think of what a privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. You have the power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.

Thoughts today were all taken from the quotes of Marcus Aurelius.

Living Life

Live with no regrets, meaning always do your best, always be your best. And, on any given day, our best may be sub par, but if on that day that’s the best we can do, then that’s the best we can do.  Always be kind, gentle, and understanding, to others and to YOURSELF. Live life nurturing whats important – people and YOURSELF.  Live your life with the thought, that everything in the end, will work out for the best. Follow what feels right to you. Follow what brings you joy, and love, and bliss.  Follow your dreams, because it’s your life.  -Live the life that makes you happy.

Garden Party

I went to a garden party to reminisce with my old friends

A chance to share old memories and play our songs again

When I got to the garden party, they all knew my name

No one recognized me, I didn’t look the same

But it’s all right now, I learned my lesson well

You see, ya can’t please everyone, so ya got to please yourself – Ricky Nelson

You can’t please everyone and you can’t change them either.  You’ve got to please yourself, but in pleasing yourself you need to be mindful of your responsibilities to your family, friends, coworkers, nature, and the environment. Pleasing yourself is not permission for selfishness, but is a state of mind for how to live, not seeking approval for your life choices.  We’re on different paths, we have different abilities, but we can get to the same place from these different paths if we choose to. It doesn’t matter which way we get there, or even where we go. It does matter however, who we are, on that journey.

We are in our hearts who we really are. So when you go to that Garden Party, be kind to yourself, be kind to others, just go an be yourself.
