It’s So Easy – Just Be

When we’re asked “What do you want out of life?”  Most people respond “I just want to be happy.”  And, the solution is so easy – just be happy now!  Start right now sitting in your seat or wherever you are reading this blog post.  Start smiling.  It will make you look better.  It will make you feel better.  And, while your smiling, start thinking of all the things you have to be grateful for.  You can start small…a photo of a friend, a single flower, or the fact that you are still breathing.  You are alive!  It’s not too late!  Unless, of course, you say it is…

It’s the same with anything that you want out of life.  Just start living it now.  To be healthier. When you finish reading this 😉 take a walk.  It doesn’t have to be far, you will not turn into a super model over night, but you will have already made yourself healthier than you were.

Whatever your goal is…live it now.  No matter how small the effort, with a single step, or a smile on your face, you will already be closer to living your “Just Right” Life.

You can be happy now!

Goldilocks Rocks American Idol Haley Reinhart

USA Today reported yesterday that on Haley Reinhart’s home town visit,  a sign was held up saying, “Goldilocks Rocks”.  That caught my attention 😉 And, for some reason I’m a little embarrassed to say this,…but, I love watching American Idol, and Haley from the beginning, has been one of my favorites. And, it’s not because we have the same hair. 🙂  What moves me watching Haley and American Idol, is that it’s everyday people living their dream.

If you’ve been reading my blog, then you know that’s what I’m all about.  I want all of us, to live our dream life. What moves you?  What brings you joy? What does your perfect life look like? If you haven’t created it yet, I think you can learn a thing or two from watching Haley. She didn’t make the cut the first year she tried out for American Idol.  She was almost sent home early during Hollywood week.  She was in the bottom two several times during earlier eliminations, and who says after finding out that she’s been eliminated, “This is only the beginning”!

Remember we all start out beginners, it’s what you do from there that makes you succeed. Keep moving forward.  Keep making choices and taking actions, no matter how small, in the direction of living your “just right” life. If you stumble, or pause, or slip up, just get up and continue on.

Haley, continued on, to sing and rock the song Bennie and the Jets, and at the end shouted “You’ll be seeing me! This ain’t the end of this! This ain’t the end of this thing! Shindig – See ya Later!”  And, I’m sure we will.

Tough Times – Positive Endings

I have been told that sometimes my blog is hard to read because it’s too cheerful and too positive, and my reply has been – that‘s my whole point.  I think we have been conditioned to feel comfortable with negative information and news happening to and around us, and feel if we stay in this conditioned state, that we will continue to get more of the same. One of my goals has been to recondition us to see more beauty, and more positive influences around us.  What we focus on, is what we get, so I’m doing my part to surround us with positive thoughts.

When times in our life our tough, it seems even harder to focus on anything positive, but if we don’t, times will remain tough.  Don’t try and block it out of your mind, but sit back and analyze it with detached feelings.  Ask yourself what can I learn from this.  What will I do differently next time.  Then let it go.  Tell yourself that the tough moment was just clearing a way for all the good thats coming to you. Start focusing on the positive, and if you do, great things will be just around the corner.
