A Good Beginning

A good beginning is one that is altered by the end, and with the ending of 2010, another yearly cycle has begun. We have lost the ability to direct or change the ending, to our year in 2010, but we have the great opportunity to begin this year in a way that makes us proud of the ending we create for 2011.

Imagine what your life looks like a year from now?  What do you look like? Where are you? What are you doing? How do you feel? Now imagine living this life everyday, being joyful, happy, fulfilled, and at peace. Feel the gratitude of truly living your life. Imagine looking around you each and everyday, and being grateful for all you have. You see only the possibilities and the opportunities around, because you know what you want, you know where you want to go, and you know what you need to do to get there. Allow yourself to be and have everything you want. You deserve it.

Risk

And then the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin

Afraid to be who you want to be.  Afraid to risk defeat again.  Afraid to put yourself out there for all the world to see.  This is not living.

We fail when we find comfort in where we are, and not where we want to be. Life is meant to be always evolving.  Keeping with us –  what works, letting go of what doesn’t, and opening ourselves up to what can be. It takes risk, and faith, and courage to be the best that you can be.

You have made your New Year Resolutions – The “risk” is yours.  Stay where you are right now, and make changes when life forces you; or decide to move towards the life you want.

Thoughts of Love, Peace, and Being Unique

When we are born, we are not given choices of traits.  There is no one asking us what specific Nationality, Race, or Religion that we would like to be.  No choices of being tall, short, or of having a rich family. No choices of whether we want to be artistic, athletic, intuitive, analytical or any number of other characteristics. Yet we treat ourselves and each other as if we did.  We are all unique and we should love ourselves and each other for that reason alone.  There are many things the world would not have if everyone was like me,… which is a relief, that in our differences, we don’t have to be everything.

Sometimes people treat others as if they had a choice. Sometimes we dwell on why our life is harder, because of the choices we didn’t have. And, sometimes we forget that we have choices now. We can choose love,   peace, compassion, and understanding.  We can’t change whether we are tall or short, as well as many other traits that we are born with,  but we can choose to use the traits that we have, and make the best of it.   Choose to use your unique gifts and create your perfect life.
