Today I’m celebrating my first Valentine in ten years. I’m in the mushy gushy stage that makes this day so great! However, after spending so many Valentines days alone, I’m acutely aware of what it feels like to be alone. I’m sure you may know someone like this; the single mom or dad, your coworker that just moved into town, a neighbor, a friend, or may be yourself.
What if on this Valentine’s Day we took the time to show our love, to everyone that we came into contact with today. If your alone, buy yourself some flowers, chocolate, and something good for dinner tonight, and while your at the store buy something for someone that you know is alone or is going through a difficult time. If your in a relationship, do the same thing. While buying your love a gift pick up a card, a rose, or something to share with another. Imagine what the world would look like if we all shared this love…
We are all dependent on one another, every soul of us on earth. George Bernard Shaw
Take care of yourself, take care of others – let’s spread the Love we have to share,… It’s Easy!
“Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast. It is not self–seeking. It is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in truth. It always protects. Always trusts. Always hopes. Always perseveres. Love never fails.”
When we think of a “Perfect Love”, we usually think of how we want someone to love us; how we want to be loved. But, what about the way we love others, or even how we love ourselves. Do we trust and protect our love ones. Do we agonize over our past mistakes. Can we forgive others. Can we forgive ourselves.
Shouldn’t we love others, at least, the way we love ourselves; and shouldn’t we love ourselves, at least, the way we love others.
Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all time thing. You don’t win once in a while, you don’t do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. Vince Lombardi
In honor of the Super Bowl, I thought a Vince Lombardi quote was appropriate. 🙂 We all need to be winners in our own life; so I also thought, that a daily affirmation would help, in the “habit” of a winning life.
Say the following affirmation with belief, with faith, with a knowing, and a certainty, that what you say is true.
This is my day, my week, my year! I carry myself in the way I speak, the way I dress, and the way I act; in celebration of what I have, and what I know is coming my way. I feel the joy of my winning life.
Now do what you have to do! And, believe in yourself; have faith, that you have, what you create. You are a winner!
